About us

Matildas Active Support is the active support group for the Australian women’s football team, The Matildas. We also exist to provide a space for all fans to come together, active or not.

We are proud to be part of a strong Australian women’s football community that existed long before us and exist to play our part in nurturing and growing that community.

We were founded by and are led by women, but inclusivity is at our core. We value the contributions made by everyone who participates, regardless of their background. We are particularly proud to be a safe space for the LGBTQIA+ community and will not tolerate sexism, homophobia, transphobia, racism, or discrimination of any other kind.

Our support is positive. We support our team rather than tear down the opposition, and do it in good humour. Healthy rivalry is encouraged, but aggression is not welcome.

We love our team, our game and our community. Anyone who wants to be part of growing the women’s game in Australia is welcome.
